Sarah joined the International Team in September 2008 to provide communications assistance, particularly helping to upgrade the A Rocha websites. These days, she continues to provide support in writing stories and creating artwork, but her work focuses more on coordinating A Rocha’s international fundraising efforts, including grant writing and building relationships with supporters. Alongside this she is developing information systems which she hopes will help people work together more efficiently and effectively.
After graduating from York University in 2005 with a degree in Environment, Economics and Ecology, Sarah spent time volunteering with the A Rocha teams in Kenya, Portugal and the UK and studied part-time to complete an MSc in Development Management with the Open University. She loves to unwind by doing something creative, like painting, knitting, making silver jewellery or cooking.
