Fundraising for A Rocha
A great way to get involved with A Rocha is to fundraise for us. By collecting donations for a sponsored event, a birthday or wedding anniversary or in memory of someone special, you can help support communities around the world, as they engage in nature conservation projects.

- All of our printed publications are available online for you to download and share. Or if you would like paper versions of any of our materials, please contact us and we will be happy to send you some.
Fundraising ideas
Here are a few fun ideas and sponsorship activities to help kick-start your fundraising.
- Organize a sponsored hike, run, swim or cycle. Or all four!
- Dress in green for the day, or dye your hair, for sponsorship.
- Host an international meal and ask everyone to contribute to your fundraising pot.
- Get creative and sell your paintings, pottery, cards or cakes.
- Host a coffee morning. How about some green iced cupcakes?
- Throw a party. Why not charge for entry on the door and persuade the venue to offer the space for free in return for your friends buying a drink or two, all in the good cause of charity?
- Hold a raffle and ask your friends to donate prizes. You can be sure that most of them will have something that they’re happy to part with which someone else will love!
- Ask for donations instead of gifts for your birthday. You could also suggest Gifts with a Difference
- Or ask for donations as an alternative wedding gift option.
Ways for people to give
- You can set up a fundraising page for sponsors or donors at JustGiving, Give.net and MyDonate. Paper sponsorship forms are also available for you to download and print.
- Matched Giving is a great way of boosting your fundraising. Simply approach your employer and ask them to match the final amount you raise, thus doubling your donation pound for pound in one easy step!
- Payments can be made online, by cheque (payable to ‘A Rocha International’) or directly through your bank account using the details on our standing order and Gift Aid form. If you need further advice or would like to donate in another currency, please contact Sarah on giving@test.arocha.org
